Pho Kim sits tucked along W Alameda St in Santa Fe, serving up classic Vietnamese pho and other comforting noodle soups that draw in both locals and visitors looking for a genuine taste of Vietnam in the Southwest. The spot feels unpretentious and welcoming, with a straightforward dining area that encourages you to focus on the food—perfect for those craving a warm, satisfying meal, especially on a chilly day.

The real highlight here is the pho, offered in several variations including the well-balanced Combo Beef Pho with a mix of flank, rare steak, tripe, tendon, and meatballs. The broth carries a thoughtful clarity and depth, reflecting a careful balance of spices and simmered bones, making each bowl feel like a subtle, slow-cooked embrace. If you want a heartier kick, the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup delivers tender slices of beef infused with chili oil, ideal for anyone who appreciates a little heat in their stew.

Other dishes, like the mung-bean noodle soup with seafood and pork tenderloin or the vermicelli noodles served alongside crispy egg rolls, add some variety to the menu without straying too far from the core comforting vibe. Portions tend to be generous, making Pho Kim a solid lunch or dinner stop for people seeking filling, affordable fare.

The staff here contribute to a relaxed atmosphere, with service that feels attentive without being overbearing—something locals seem to appreciate, often highlighting their accommodating nature. This balance makes it a spot where you can comfortably swing by solo to enjoy a hearty bowl or bring friends for a casual meal.

Takeout is handled thoughtfully, with items neatly packed separately to keep everything fresh and easy to reheat, which is great for busy folks or those who want to savor their meal at home. Drinks range from classic sodas to fresh-squeezed lemonade and coconut water, complementing the food without overshadowing it.

Overall, Pho Kim serves as a reliable place to warm up with thoughtfully prepared Vietnamese noodles, especially during colder months or after a day exploring Santa Fe. Visitors who appreciate authentic, simple flavors done well—and who enjoy a no-frills dining room with a low-key vibe—will find it fits the bill nicely.

Wow wow wow! This place exceeded my expectations! Absolutely delicious pho! The broth was textbook authentic pho. The spring rolls were fresh! The mint in them was a really nice touch. And the chicken bahn mi was so damn good. the bread on it was nice and soft. I highly recommend dipping your bahn mi in the pho broth. We got take out and everything was packaged up and separated so neatly. I always get the combination pho which was so good. We will definitely be coming here and dining properly! If you like pho then pho-king get over here!!!

Picked this place for lunch because I was looking for Bún Bò Huê (spicy beef noodles). I wanted a warm spicy soup because it's getting cold out, and they certainly delivered. It was a flavorful, hearty soup with tender slices of beef and lots of chili oil. It's a huge bowl too. I think I ate about 1/3. The take home packaging is quite thoughtful. They give you two containers so you can separate the noodles from the broth and keep them from getting soggy.
